On the way to work today and it was quite a depressing day weather wise. One day it feels 90+ F the next its freezing and raining. Another depressing but yet humorous sight that I saw today was during the drive. I saw some guy with a surgical mask while driving his little mini cooper. I only assume that the guy is paranoid about swine flu but come on! surgical mask in the car? if the virus was in the car you would already have it genius…. but yes Swine flu is a serious public health issue and after studying public health for so many years, it all makes me very nervous. Not because of swine flu itself but of the other related public health situations/pandemics that may foreseen in the future.
Ok! digress and onto an amazing short film I saw a while ago on youtube. The music is awesome too!
Its called “Signs”
And more show in tell. A photo i recently took on a NICE and brisk day in Chinatown.
Came across this on gizmodo, as put by the editor. If this song doesn’t get a tear or smile out of you today, well you are dead inside. Haha.
video was compiled of street performers and musicians all over the world and was mixed together with a simple laptop.
Definitely a pick me up video for me today. Was feeling very under stimulated today.
So tonight I have been trolling around the internet and I’ll like to share with you the geeky things that have amused me tonight….
First, I just found out why gmail is once again freaking awesome you can youtube videos that people send you within the same browser window!

Second thing, found these nick nacks online too. They are very cool and just make me smile.

This weekend quick two day trip back to the hometown to make sure my friend doesn’t end up screwing up the house.
-Seeing everyone I could.
-Impromptu “Feast Dinner” at the original restaurant
Group Picture, with a few guys missing
-meeting this girl, Christene at the bar, who ended up being the manager of the local Starbucks that had to experience this story which was the big news of the town for a few days.
-NOT WORKING AT THE NEW RESTAURANT!
-going through my old stuff and going down memory lane.
More pictures when i have time! oh by the way Christene assures everyone that the bathroom is safe to use at Starbucks now, they caught the guy in like 2 days.
When i started this new blog, my intent was to really never put write about anything heavy. I will try my best to keep to that rule, but I will tell you all about one of the current problem of mine.
As some of you may know that, I am originally from New York and my family still has a home in upstate. We have been having trouble getting people we can trust to rent the house and well I’ve always had an aversion to renting my childhood home to others.
Fast forward to today, after numerous failed attempts to get close friends to move in to ease the money drain of the New Paltz house. One of my friend’s has agreed to rent, only problem is that he is the problem little brother of the group and is just unpredictable. He is not a crazy party guy, so i’m not worried about him destroying the house, but i am nervous that he would completely flip the house around with crazy change even though he really is just renting one bedroom in the whole house.
oh well its money that will help with the high New York taxes.
ok that was a bit heavy hmmmmm…..whatever.
Sooooo I leave you with some pikchas
Lychee Martini anyone? whoops all gone!
Still trying my best in topping my popular Lychee Martini, on the verge with a new Absolut Pears drink though, I’ll keep ya’ll posted.
Just random special sushi, with no name. Any suggestions?
well this sums up this lackluster post…
So in spirit and in preparation of a new month, the end of March was a time of me being “productive” and “organized”. I have been organizing things for the restaurant, still backing up my files on the new hard drive i got earlier in March and trying to set out a new plan for 2009. Here we are on April 1st and well… all that momentum has already begun to slow down.
On a side note, soooo many friends are coming to dc this weekend to visit. I’m afraid with my increased work schedule due to the Cherry Blossom festival in dc and all these friends not being part of the same social group, I’m not going to be able to see everyone. Funny how it works I go from having no one being around dc to everyone at once. In typical restaurant terminology, this weekend I am going to be “in the weeds” with friends. Well i guess it could be worst.
Ok now back to re-organizing and re-dirction in life! In midst of the tedious task of backing up photo I found a old picture of the view from my desk at college and created a crazy flashback of memories. This is because it had a lot of pictures of people I lost touch with and pictures that I edited.
Old view from the college room desk.
Oh college those were interesting times! Fast forward to now… my work space is a bit less cluttered but lacks a place to put pictures and also reminds me that I really haven’t done much photography lately.
My messy desk in my Maryland house
Here is a picture of all the recent gadgets i can’t live without. My macbook, iPod, iMac, iPod Touch, portable hard drive and Blackberry.
Yea… I know I basically have the apple store at my house…. damn things are addictive.
Berry & Touch
oh in continuation with the last post , I got off on the traffic ticket because the cop didn’t show up! swweeeet.
